I spent a year optimizing the glass chemistry to bring satin, metallic and sparkling colors to 104 COE glass. I've recently been able to make large melts of these glasses that can be gathered from the furnace. The color \"pot\" side of my furnace is shown to give a feel for how this is possible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese vases are a combination of gathered and torch applied color. Includes a custom teal metallic sparkle base with a layer of reactive turquoise frit. This is cooked very hot in a large oxy-propane torch to make the reactive patterns form. Then streaks of metallic greens and silver were applied in the torch along with some white and red accents. Finally a \"drizzle\" of purple satin with directional sparkle and sheen takes it just a little more over the top. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile this is one of a series, they are by no means the same.
